The facility will be a great gathering place for the community.
It was designed to be flexible to accommodate a variety of group functions and needs including weddings, fitness classes, small group gatherings and festivals, among other things. The parks department will also call the new building their home. The facility also includes an incredible outdoor space including a large pergola, fire pit, and new dedicated outdoor sculpture.
Ralph Pruente was the superintendent for Straub Construction, and Jason Riordan and Dan Vandonge were the project managers. Jesse Crupper, and Josh Hemberger, Draw Architect + Urban Design served as project architects. Jim Feuerborn, City Manager, served as the owners’ representative. Dave Deatherage and Steve Tobin with PKMR Engineers were the MEP engineers, Brett Payton with PLAID Collaborative did the landscape design.
The owner, design team, and Straub construction worked around a number of challenges to make sure this project finished on time and within budget. All the hard work paid off and the end product is a beautiful facility that the whole community can be proud of!
