Ernie Straub III named “2008 Generous Giver of the Year”
Shawnee, Kan., November 21, 2008 – The Servant Christian Community Foundation (SCCF) recognized Ernie Straub III of Shawnee with the 2008 SCCF Generous Giver Award” . The award was recently presented before 1,100 attendees at the 2008 Thurman Mitchell Servant Leadership Celebration.
Straub was chosen by the foundation as the recipient of the Generous Giver Award “as someone who is not only giving from his heart but engages others in the process. Through his business, Straub Construction Company in Shawnee, he has involved his family, his staff and entire company in the giving journey.”
According to SCCF, the Generous Giver Award is designed to lift up and honor those who typically shy away from the spotlight for their giving. The award does not measure dollar signs or amounts of giving rather the Generous Giver Award seeks to recognize the heart of the giver. SCCF’s vision is to be part of Creating a Culture of Generosity – with Generous Givers like Ernie Straub, we are seeing that dream become a reality in Kansas City.
