Free public grand opening for New Century Fieldhouse is June 11

The opening day festivities will include a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. and a variety of sports activities. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., coaches will be teaching soccer and volleyball skills and running drills. Throughout the day, former Kansas City Chief and 1999 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year Mark Simoneau will be demonstrating speed and agility drills designed to maximize the athletic performance of young athletes.
