Shawnee, Kan., December 5, 2008 –Straub Construction Kansas City was named a recipient of the Excellence in Construction award by the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. Heart of AmericaChapter for the Weaver Auditorium project.

Weaver Auditorium includes a state-of-the-art 1,500 seat auditorium with a performance stage, specialty audio-visual center and lighting systems, and unique auditorium ceiling finish.

This commercial project includes: 6,500 SF of granite flooring, extensive power and lighting provisions, curvilinear walls, cherry paneling, fluted cherry column covers, and a two-story lobby with open ornamental iron elliptical stairway.
