Description:
Northeast Junior High Place is a 60,000 SF renovation project involving the conversion of an abandoned school into 43 senior living apartments.
Historic elements restored include: trim, terrazzo floors, rotating chalkboards, windows, oversized skylights, and more.
After completion, this tax-credit project was designated a historical building by the Kansas Historic Society.
In June 2009, the Kansas Preservation Alliance (KPA) presented the project team with the KPA 2009 Award of Excellence.
