Location: 102 South Holden St, Warrensburg Missouri Construction Type: New Construction Owner: City of Warrensburg, Missouri Architect: DLR Group Completion Date: March 2010 Description:

As part of a new master plan, the City of Warrensburg renovated a four-square block area of their downtown. The first stage of this redevelopment was a new 20,000 two-story police headquarters building.

Before construction could begin, the existing street and utilities had to be removed and relocated nearby. This presented challenges and delayed the start of construction by 3.5 months. However, Straub Construction completed the project on time and in budget allowing the Police Department to move into their new facility on schedule.

The master plan for the new city buildings incorporated deep blue high pressure laminate panels, brick work, split face block and pre-finished metal paneling as part of the building exterior finish giving the building an unique eclectic finish.

The building also numerous facilities, such as offices, locker rooms, jail cells, break area and a meeting room. Another feature is the Sally Port, equipped with a high pressure carwash system and space indoors for eight vehicles.
