The Abbey Church at the Benedictine‘s of Mary. Mother Cecilia’s vision to honor God through architecture and witnessing the joy the Sisters live by make this an incredible project.

Our home hosting friends and family with smoked meats and homemade grape nut ice cream.

Most cherished charitable organization:
Shawnee Community Services and their hearts to serve the greater KC community from food to advocacy and much more in between.

Favorite project:
Shawanoe Elementary School. It was an incredible experience to interact with the administration, staff and students as they got to witness construction of their brand new school being built 30 feet away from their existing facility.

40. I moved from public accounting to construction in 1980.

Neighborhood hangout:
Basehor Park. It’s a great place for my wife Elizabeth and I to walk the dog.

Most cherished charitable organization:
Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas

Favorite project:
Holy Angels Adoration Chapel. It’s a beautiful place for worship, prayer and contemplation.

Neighborhood hangout:
Any of the many local youth sports venues where one of my three children may be playing football, basketball, soccer or cheerleading.

Most cherished charitable organization:
The Children’s SPOT at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City. My wife has worked there for nearly 15 years and during that time I’ve been fortunate enough to meet many kids with unique personalities and abilities.

Favorite project:
Park University’s Robert W. Plaster Center. This is one of the first major projects I was involved in upon joining Straub and combines two of my strongest passions; education and serving our military men and women.
