Avila University: Goppert Performing Arts Center

At Avila University, 23% of undergraduate students participate in performing arts activities.

The new addition at the Goppert Performing Arts Center will provide increased rehearsal space, an expanded 200-seat black box theater and a new shop for stage design production– providing performing art students with professional-level facilities, practices and equipment. The enhanced facility will also provide resources to other programs in Avila’s School of Performing Arts and the community, where more than 20 community groups and an estimated 14,000 community members utilize or attend performances in the Goppert Theatre, annually.

Avila has a 100-year history of inspiring students to learn and grow. Working collaboratively with Helix Architecture + Design & Lankford|Fendler + associates, Straub is honored to build a facility that will continue to expand Avila’s mission to enhance their Performing Arts program for years to come.
