Since 2011, Journey Church International has existed to see people far from God become passionate Christians who make a difference in the world.
In October, Straub Construction broke ground on a new project for Journey Church International in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Partnering with Finkle + Williams Architecture, the proposed addition will be a catalyst in furthering its mission of bringing people closer to God. Currently, JCI has over 500 families in their congregation, with hopes to grow that number.
About the Project
The project consists of a 52,000 SF addition to the existing church building– built in 2016. This will include a 1,200 seat auditorium with support spaces for A/V production and band, a large atrium/fellowship area, new restrooms, a café, administrative offices, and additional classrooms.
The existing church building will receive minor remodeling to adapt to the new building, with the east-most side receiving the most extensive remodeling and a kitchen conversion.
Journey Church’s new addition is scheduled to complete late this fall–but we’ll keep you updated on the progress. Learn more about the project and JCI’s plan for growth: Difference Maker.
