Clay County Sheriff | Law Enforcement Resource Center
The Community
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was founded in 1822 and is dedicated to protecting the people of Clay County and the cities within. The department is looking to expand its internal and external training programs. When completed, the center will be available for local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
The Construction
The new Law Enforcement Resource Center for Clay County Sheriff’s Office features an entrance lobby and office area, classroom and training
rooms, support spaces such as restrooms, a break room, and storage and utility rooms. Exterior work includes a new entry drive, parking lot, and exterior storage area for department equipment.
The facility also contains a ten-lane indoor shooting range with an armory, rated for both handguns and rifles. The training rooms will support defensive tactics training as well as virtual/augmented reality training.
