A beacon to the Waldo community for over 100 years, St. Elizabeth’s Parish and School needed to improve safety, security and functionality for their students, faculty and staff.
The Construction
The 20,000 SF project includes a conversion of the existing rectory, built in 1948, into modern learning spaces designed specifically for students’ pre-school through kindergarten. The main sanctuary renovation improves accessibility, functionality, storage and acoustics.
“At our Dedication of the new ECC recently, I said, “We wouldn’t be standing where we are today without Ernie Straub’s vision. He advocated for the use of this old building, and thus allowed a redemptive story to begin for this corner of our campus.” Thanks to him and all at Straub, we were able to build a beautiful building that serves our youngest students beautifully. Integrating the old with the new expressed so much about the identity of our parish, now over 100 years old.”
